Hello! My specialties are: Couples Counseling, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Sexual Abuse, Substance Abuse, Domestic Abuse, Spiritual Confusion, and Non-drug approaches for ADHD. Currently, I also offer a number of Teletherapy times, which offer more flexibility in session availability. This can be particularly helpful for clients with busy or restricted schedules, especially couples and parents with young children.
For couples, I agree with Dr. Gary Chapman, that each partner should feel loved and appreciated. I also agree with Dr. John Gottman about the importance of responding positively to "bids for connection" and avoiding "The 4 Horsemen," which are particularly damaging dynamics of interaction. But relationships CAN be healed!
Overall, I work with a variety of modalities and am more humanistic and heart-centered than formula-based. I see each client as unique, not as a stereotypical diagnosis.
