I specialize in helping with trauma, neglect, physical & sexual abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, crisis intervention, disabilities, life transitions, loss & grief, self-esteem, chronic illnesses, oppositional defiance & mood disorders. I have specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive therapy and at the Child Welfare Academy at the Univ. of Maryland.
I have experience helping individuals and families in the U.S, South Africa, Peru, the Bahamas, Haiti and other countries. I was a forensic social worker, treatment foster care worker and a counselor at a domestic violence shelter before becoming a LCSW 10 years ago.
