I work with children, adolescents, adults and families. My areas of expertise include anxiety and depression, trauma and trauma-related issues, as well as building healthy relationships within families. I have worked extensively with children with behavioral challenges and supported their caregivers to manage their parenting responsibilities more effectively, while developing trust and a sense of belonging within the family unit.

My goal to help & encourage others grew out of teaching, training, & serving children, youth, & parents for more than 20 years in the education and ministry fields. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to encourage & walk alongside children, adolescents, & adults as they navigate life's challenges towards fearless hope, fearless grace, & fearless transformation.

Hello! During my time as a clinical social worker, I have counseled and served those who have experienced grief and loss, had parenting challenges and who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transition issues. Are you feeling stressed? Unable to navigate life's challenges? Has the journey been hard? My hope is to walk with you as you navigate these challenges so that you can journey well.

Above all, I hope to create a safe space for those who need it. The stress of life, the changes we experience, and the things that happen to us, can make safe spaces difficult to access. No matter the age of the client or walk of life we come from, we each have unique value and the potential of moving towards healing and growth in the right conditions.

I believe you have many of the answers to your questions - you just need to hear them. A therapist can give you that confidential setting where your verbalized needs, wants, and fears can be heard and not judged. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, or contemplating sober living, I offer in-person and virtual sessions. My hours are expanding for Monday through Thursday sessions.

I have been in private practice since 2005. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, brief solution therapy, mood disorders, behavior modification, anxiety, personality disorders, grief & loss, addiction, postpartum issues, & divorce/blended families.

My goal as a social worker and therapist is to help you or your child develop an understanding of self, learn skills for strong communication, and create a positive self-concept. I believe that everyone is capable of living up to their potential and work from a strengths-based perspective.

I have found it an honor to play a role in the lives of those who have entrusted me with the truth of their internal world and the unique experiences that shape and enrich their lives. I always am amazed as I hear stories of pain and obstacles and strengths from clients. While it is intense work at times, it is very rewarding for clients to encounter the experiences of the past and present with support in the "here and now". Helping those with a history of trauma, losses/grief and the after-effects like depression, anxiety, dissociation and addiction, and relationship issues is very meaningful to me. Healing is possible!

Tiger counseling is all about helping people find the courage to change. We are not about making you feel judged or more ashamed. In the process of analyzing your mind, we often encounter discomfort, which is a signal to keep going, never to give up on ourselves. Good therapeutic work is often messy in my experience, usually accompanied by tears and laughter (often in the same session, but no guarantees). I especially encourage you to reach out if you have tried therapy before and found it less than helpful. I assure you my approach is unique, my style has been described as unorthodox. I love that and I love the people I serve!
