Welcome! Whether you're seeking help with anxiety, depression or facing relationship challenges, I help clients work through emotional and relationship issues from a 'trauma-informed' perspective. Many seeking therapy are experiencing emotional and physical symptoms related to the stress of toxic relationships. I help clients recover from unhealthy adult and childhood relationships by recognizing survival strategies (eg. codependency) and seeking to heal attachment wounds. I have been in private practice for 12 years, and worked within church settings providing counseling and pastoral care for ten years prior to that.
I work from a 'trauma-informed' perspective and have training and experience using EMDR and related modes of therapy. EMDR works directly with the 'brain system' to resolve negative beliefs and disturbing experiences which are "held in the body," and we aim to facilitate relief and recovery.
