It can be difficult to cope with intense emotions and to decide on what steps to take next when life brings its inevitable challenges and opportunities. I believe that clarifying who and what are most important in our lives can help us evaluate options and guide action, even when unpleasant emotions show up. I work with clients' unique strengths to develop healthier strategies to manage difficult thoughts, feelings, situations, and memories. My practice is grounded in compassionately delivering evidence-based therapy approaches including ACT, CBT, and EMDR.
I work collaboratively with clients to identify their important values and goals in their lives and use mindfulness, compassion, and values-based therapy approaches. I help clients develop new skills and mindsets and encourage taking steps that will help move them toward more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Therapy can be transformative but it also can be challenging, as it calls us to be courageous in turning toward difficult situations and experiences. I strive to bring attitudes of warmth, acceptance, and compassion to foster trust and safety with clients and would welcome an opportunity to work with you.
