My specialty is "COUPLES." The work I do with couples is not covered by insurance(s). I specialize in using Imago relationship therapy, attachment theory, somatic therapy & neuroscience. The issues that concern couples are usually styles of communication, infidelity, conflict, racial distress, commitment & navigating differences. I work with couples on a "short-term" private intensive basis beginning with a 2-hr assessment that gives you hope and insight into areas of strength and growth. My philosophy is grounded in the idea that relationship are an adventure to be had; not a problem to be solved.

I work with women, men, and couples who are facing emotional and sexual health difficulties. Over the last few years, I have worked in an oncology setting, which has given me a unique ability to address the concerns of those dealing with chronic illness, as well as those trying to redefine and recreate their lives after a cancer diagnosis and treatment. As an AASECT certified sex therapist, addressing the sexual health and intimacy concerns of individuals and couples who are experiencing challenges or difficulties with their emotional and/or sexual relationships is my other area of focus.

l am a licensed mental health counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in the treatment of trauma and related disorders such as anxiety and depression. I believe that trauma in its many forms--sexual abuse and assault, emotional neglect, bullying, infidelity, divorce, or loss of a loved one--can have a profound effect on how we move through the world, relate to others, and think about ourselves. I am a LICSW with 30 years of experience, currently working with individual adults and couples. I am very straghtforward, but my approach is informal, making counseling a safe space where we can work together towards helping you feel and function better. We look at how current circumstances and past history are impacting your life, and explore what changes may be helpful with options developed and advise given if asked. I believe strongly that in-person, rather than tele-health sessions is best practice, though I will do telehealth if necessary once a relationship has been established. I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 11 years of experience in the field. My work spans across different developmental stages from adolescence to late adulthood, including group therapy work and couples therapy. Likely, the hardest part is beginning to understand why things really aren't working- I work with clients in a clear, approachable manner, so we can pinpoint the root causes and create a goal-oriented framework for progress.
