I offer psychotherapy to individuals and couples who reside in California or Oregon. I offer clinical supervision to associates residing and working in the state of California. As a psychotherapist, I am flexible and tailor my approach to the need of each client. I have been trained in many modalities that offer various benefits, depending on your needs and preferences (EMDR, AEDP, Sensorimotor, Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic, Somatic). As a clinical supervisor, I supervise from a primarily psychodynamic orientation. My practice is anti oppression and trauma informed.

I provide individual therapy for people who are feeling stuck and need support understanding how to get through a tough time. Many people benefit from an outside perspective for navigating life transitions, coping with stress, or dealing with family conflict and other important relationships. Often people struggle with conflicting needs as they evaluate their lives and relationships. When life feels out of control, I can provide compassionate guidance for gaining self-awareness and building confidence. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Portland with over 10 years of clinical experience. I offer psychotherapy and psychological/educational testing to children, teens, and adults. I work from a client-centered approach utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches. I specialize in Anxiety Disorders, Trauma, OCD, Mood Disorders, Substance Use Issues, and Psychological Assessment for Children, Teens, and Adults.

My work is primarily with LGBTQ communities with a specialty in transgender identities. This includes letter writing, supporting individuals, families, and relationships through social, spiritual, medical, and/or the multiple ways one can transition. I also work with LGBTQ individuals and families surrounding day-to-day concerns that may have little to do with their gender and/or sexual orientation. This may include relationship conflict, grief/loss, life transitions, and/or mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression. I currently work with children/teens and adults 10 and up in a private practice setting.

I focus on building a therapeutic alliance with clients. It is through this alliance we can uncover the unconscious roots and meanings of distressing feelings, behaviors and thoughts. My approach also includes an understanding of the various ways people experience trauma, including social and economic disenfranchisement.
