Empathy for the realities of human suffering and trauma in our world, drew me to devote my career to therapy. I have a passion for helping children, teens, young adults, parents and families understand the patterns of harm that are contributing to their suffering. I believe each individual who enters the therapy process possesses the ability to explore the roots of their suffering and begin the journey toward healing.

I am kind & non-judgmental, but not afraid to give clients a little (figurative) nudge when necessary. I have experience working with all kinds of problems & diagnoses, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as individual and group settings. The majority of my experience lies in dual diagnosis treatment, working with clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use diagnoses.

My aim as your therapist is to create a space where healing, empowerment, strength, and growth can be experienced. To achieve this, I draw upon interventions of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to help you meet your goals in therapy. I believe therapy is not one thing for any one person, but that ultimately it can be a place where meaning and wholeness can be found. As your therapist I will always strive to meet you where you are at and to meet your needs in a way that is collaborative and effective.

Samantha brings over 16 years of experience in addiction treatment, co-occurring disorders and process addictions, such as gambling, and sex addiction. Samantha specializes in treatment of adults with concierge needs, professionals seeking to understand how their drive, success, and lifestyle have become intertwined with addiction and mental health. Samantha believes that addiction and mental health can impact everyone regardless of success and background. She believes that every individual/family deserves quality care.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families addressing substance abuse, relationship, mood issues ( depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc). I often work with family members who have trouble motivating a loved one to consider treatment, or who want to learn about their loved one's condition and how to best support them. I value maintaining relationships with other providers, including psychiatrists, other therapists such as group therapists, couple therapists, inpatient treatment facilities, etc. as part of maintaining good coordination of your care as necessary.
