I serve individuals (adults, teenagers, children) and couples to help them feel better about themselves and the life they have been given. I can help you find the resources and teach you the skills to cope with life.

I've been in practice in Santa Cruz County for the last 25 years. My style is engaging, warm and free of judgement. I believe that we all have the ability to thrive, if given the tools and support needed. I coach my clients to take charge and find harmony in their lives. I provide individual and couple's counseling on issues of anxiety, depression, aging, childhood trauma, grief and loss as well as life's challenges that can contribute to isolation, disconnection, and emotional pain.

All of us have those moments in life where we finally "get" something, those times when everything finally makes sense. As a therapist it is a pivotal moment in the therapeutic process, as a parent it can be very rewarding to see this occur for your child, and as an individual, it can be the difference between getting stuck in a bad place and moving forward in your life. I work with individuals, children and couples who are facing life's stressors and are looking for the tools to improve the quality of their lives.

From a spiritual reality, I believe that we humans are "gems of inestimable value". Coming to therapy to learn about your own gem-like nature is an act of courage. I ask curious questions and wonder about non-verbal signals, so that you may safely explore the depth and breadth of your own nature. My background is in Process Oriented Psychology (with Jungian roots) and Developmental Psychology. I'm excited to include Internal Family Systems and Intimacy from the Inside Out. I'm passionate about helping you discover your inside parts and access your own Self energy to aid you in your healing journey

I am specialized in the treatment of older persons. A major issue in aging is the Life Review, and working with persons involved in a Life Review is a primary focus of treatment with me. Erik Erikson has identified the need to resolve the crisis between having an awareness of having lived a meaningful life versus the sense of despair that comes with the feeling that one's life has been meaningless.

Is your teen anxious, withdrawn, or engaging in behaviors that concern you? Is your child experiencing difficulty in school, with friendships, or managing their emotions? Young people often express their needs and emotions differently than adults, and it can be difficult for parents to understand or know what to do. In my practice, I help young people process what they are experiencing, and help parents understand and feel confident supporting their child's growth and development. In addition, I have extensive experience working with adults struggling with transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression.
