Hey! I’m Tim, and I specialize in helping high schoolers, college students, and young adults find meaning and feel more grounded. Life as a young person can be tough. You might be struggling with anxious thoughts and feelings, navigating your relationships and responsibilities, and building your identity. It’s understandable if you feel overwhelmed by these things, and therapy can help. I provide a friendly, nonjudgemental space to help you learn more about yourself, create change, and ultimately feel better.

I have been there myself and an important thing to understand is that you are not alone. Many of us have difficulty knowing, or even asking, for what we need. We often suffer from patterns which repeat themselves and are hard to understand. This pain can manifest in the form of depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges, among other things.

My skills and qualifications cover a variety of areas but clients experiencing relational distress, anxiety, difficulty setting boundaries, wanting to work on their relationship with themselves or others, or distress in parenthood may be particularly well suited. Certain events often precede the beginning of our therapy journey. Grief, relationship crossroads, breakups, divorce, job and career changes, moving, starting or completing school, some sort of “bottom” related to a painful behavior — I’m familiar with these challenges. Therapy can inspire a deeper exploration and a new way of being.

Everyone has seasons in life where they are struggling and need help. I provide a supportive and nonjudgemental space to receive support and healing for anxiety, depression, life changes (such as divorce, birth, marriage, moving, new jobs), loss, trauma, emotional regulation, relationships problems and even general goal setting. I believe the key to life satisfaction is identifying your core values and then working to align your behaviors and decisions with those values.

Fundamentally I believe that all people are innately whole. At our core, we are all compassionate, connected, and able to love all of our many parts. Perhaps you have moments when you feel this way, and for a moment it feels like you have come home to yourself. This is who you really are. But most of us have wounding that we have acquired in our lives. And this wounding has become internalized and turned into beliefs about ourselves, beliefs like "I am not enough." These beliefs are so powerful and feel so true. But, this is not who you are. And through our work together you can find your way back home.
