Therapy can be the turning point in your life—allowing you to confront your challenges and unconscious habits in order to more mindfully choose your behaviors, relationships, and life path. As a psychotherapist, I work to help my clients find fulfillment, serenity, confidence, and true happiness. I accompany individuals and couples through a process of examining who they are, how they came to be, and where they ultimately want to go. I collaborate with clients to heal issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, and trauma.

In terms of diagnosis, I am open to seeing all patients, however, have specialization in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, family issues, couple's counseling, severe trauma, and eating disorders.
I am a clinical psychologist with an extensive research background. Therefore, my therapeutic approach includes evidence-based techniques such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, and DBT. My hope is that mental health treatment becomes part of your routine, the same way we make plans to exercise or see a primary care specialist. Warmth and compassion I believe are keys to establishing a therapeutic sense of safety and trust. Then we can explore deeper issues such as shame, fear, sadness, and self-doubt. Together, we will make goals that lead to the changes you want in life.

My specialties include the treatment of depression, anxiety and eating disorders.
My patients come to treatment to open up repressed parts of themselves. Sometimes, my patients are struggling to integrate family backgrounds, religious,or cultural with their lives today. They have often succeeded in their professional lives but feel stuck in their romantic or interpersonal lives. My patients usually bring a curiosity about how their history effects their present lives. They are interested in engaging in a treatment which examines this closely in order to understand why they are feeling blocked and to open up a greater sense of inner freedom in order to live more meaningful and fuller lives.

I am a therapist specializing in depression, anxiety, career transitions, relationships and interpersonal issues.  I work particularly well with performing artists, people struggling with grief, lack of self-esteem or self-confidence, eating disorders, as well as many other issues. I am a psychodynamic and psychoanalytically trained therapist, which means that I explore what has contributed to your current situation and, of course, what you can do about it now. There is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy; we find what is useful to you. I draw on my background as a yoga teacher, when applicable.

We work with depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, eating disorders, bereavement, BPD, autism, ADHD, addiction, sexual abuse, DV, medical illnesses, relationship problems, LGTBQ+, adjustment disorders and forensic cases.
Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

My clinical work over the past 20 plus years has included working with many different issues including eating disorders, women in transition in their lives, adolescents, sexual abuse, infertility, divorce.
If Self Help advice and strategies had been enough you probably would not be looking for a therapist. Those strategies make sense but are often very difficult to implement. The human psyche is a complicated mechanism which tends to resist change. Breaking problematic patterns of behavior and interactions with family, friends and in work environments is harder than it looks. Past history , fears and anxieties often contribute to making it difficult to make positive changes in ones life. My work with you includes examination of factors making it difficult to change and strengthening your resolve to make beneficial changes.

Welcome! I am an LMHC with 20+ years of clinical experience in the field. My practice focuses on the "life story" of the whole client, including family, interests, and personal characteristics. Are you struggling through a separation, divorce, or co-parenting problem? Do you worry that your relationship could be healthier, or that you and your partner can do more to support one another rather than argue? These are my areas of specialty, along with adults/young adults struggling with life transitions, relationships, work/life stress, depression, anxiety, body image, disordered eating, and/or eating disorders.
