Hi, I'm Dr. Andreas Michaelides (pronounced Michael-eye-des), PhD. I am a practicing Psychologist with a former role as Chief of Psychology at Noom. I specialize in psychological services, coaching, and consulting. As a founder and entrepreneur myself, I am deeply passionate about fusing technology with psychology. Having spent nearly a decade in the fast-paced startup world, I uniquely understand the high-stress demands of business.

Melissa graduated from Fordham University with a Masters Degree in Social Work and began her career working with children and adolescents in an acute care psychiatric hospital setting. She has continued to grow professionally and spiritually studying human behavior as well as alternative therapies through various approaches such as guided meditation and breath work. A higher education, years of experience, and positive/spiritual influences are combined and applied to each individualized healing session. All clients have a voice in their treatment and are supported with empathy in order to live life as your most authentic self.

When you can't always control what is happening, you can learn to control the way you respond. Being kind to your mind is to learn to accept and manage emotions. You deserve a safe space to flourish and prioritize your well-being. I can provide that for you!

I am a trauma informed therapist and am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting. Trauma can come in many forms such as childhood emotional/physical abuse, sexual abuse, witnessing/experiencing relational violence, and surviving horrific incidents. It is worth mentioning I enjoy working with and empowering adult children of emotionally immature parents.

I started my career as a Student Assistance Counselor to help children/adolescents navigate their school career, address mental health issues, & cope with daily life. I believe there is no one else that understands you better than you! Therefore, I enjoy working alongside my clients in the treatment process in an environment of non-judgmental understanding. I use a combination of therapies, including person-centered, solution focused, CBT, & trauma informed therapy.
