I have worked with many clients to navigate the twists and turns of individual identity discovery and development and have provided an affirming and supportive environment that allows clients the freedom to explore many difficult topics without fear of being judged or criticized. For many individuals and families navigating gender identity can be unfamiliar and uncomfortable and validating and exploring the feelings that arise and wading through the mountains of information on treatment options to develop realistic expectations and create a more supportive environment are primary goals.

I enjoy working with people of all ages who are striving to move through and process the difficult life experiences, changes and transitions we all experience such as grief & loss, divorce, trauma, addictions of all kinds, parenting and behavioral problems in children and adolescents.

It is my intention to affect those living and coping with often self-imposed restrictions or images of themselves. I will redirect, refocus and reframe negative feelings and internal dialogue that hold you back from uplifting mental health and helpful contributions to society.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 25 years of experience. My focus is on adolescents and adults. I have had the pleasure of working with clients from a variety of backgrounds. I strive to help clients identify and achieve their personal goals. I enjoy working with clients who are moving from adolescence to young adulthood, adults who are looking to enhance their life experience and those who are working through change. Working collaboratively in a therapeutic setting is a unique and personal experience and I learn from each and every client I work with.

A Licensed Social Worker with 13 years of experience in mental health counseling, crisis management and mental health assessments. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and School Social Work. I use a generalist practice approach, while incorporating solution focused therapy, client-centered therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and spiritual therapy. I believe, at least for most people, a deep-seated sense of meaning and purpose in life, together with a sense of belonging, is of foundational importance to psychological well-being and wholeness.
