A Licensed Social Worker with 13 years of experience in mental health counseling, crisis management and mental health assessments. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and School Social Work. I use a generalist practice approach, while incorporating solution focused therapy, client-centered therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and spiritual therapy. I believe, at least for most people, a deep-seated sense of meaning and purpose in life, together with a sense of belonging, is of foundational importance to psychological well-being and wholeness.
I implement a variety of therapeutic techniques used to address issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, relationship challenges and life transitions. I help individuals to identify problematic behaviors that interfere with their quality of life.
My adaptability to environments, people and circumstances, allows me to connect with others from all walks of life. This closed group will focus on the cycle of grief and how to manage emotions that accompany it. It is geared toward adolescents who struggle with these emotions and impacts their day to day lives. When a person is grieving, it is the spirit within the person which needs nurturing. It is through nurturing of the spirit that healing begins
