I am a Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years in the mental health field. I prefer for my sessions to be more conversational and less rigid and “clinical,” as clients seem to respond best to a more relaxed flow. I truly want us to be partners in our therapeutic relationship. I always strive to ensure my clients feel like their emotions are validated, that they have a safe space to open up and be vulnerable, and that they are free from judgement during our time together. The journey of well-being as a person in the BIPOC community it can be difficult for many reasons but you do not have to do it alone. You don’t have to be hesitant or ashamed of your struggles as they are a part of your path to self-awareness, self-love, healing and emotional freedom. We work to help clients feel seen, heard, comfortable and free to share while they move toward better version of themselves. Sometimes there are areas in our life we would to grow, from but feel stifled by various personal barriers. My eclectic approach is to follow one's narrative in the moment and prioritize the needs of my clients. Currently, I am expanding my practice to work with folks that are homebound due to chronic illness or by the journey of getting older. I am welcoming clients particularly in the Bronx, where I can come for home visits. I am also fluent in Spanish, and have a bicultural understanding of the Latino/a experience.

Oftentimes, we build maladaptive coping skills due to modeled behavior, life experiences, or simply for survival so challenging them may seem impossible, but I am here to say it is not. Disrupting those maladaptive skills will require patience with yourself but having support in therapy makes the process obtainable and manageable.
