I look for the strengths in every individual whether we meet solely for an evaluation or for short or long-term therapy. Together we look for ways to find peace in life.

I am committed to helping clients move through a variety of challenges by building self-awareness and supporting the practice of new actions. I provide integrated client solution focused therapy. I am trained in trauma informed interventions, am sensitive to a client's attachment style and work to empower clients to achieve their goals. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and groups. I have a special interest in teaching of behavioral management, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, EMDR, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance. Cognitive behavioral resources and tools are the foundation of all my work.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Hawaii, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of a Montana and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wyoming. I have certifications as a Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I have over a decade of experience working in a variety of fields, including trauma, early childhood development, child and adolescent crisis, intensive-in-home family therapy, and private practice working with children, adolescents, families, couples and first responders.

The struggle is real- for all of us. I am committed to helping a person grow toward improved insights and coping skills to resolve their problems and related emotions, in a non-judgmental and supportive manner. My goal is for one to learn more about themselves and to function at a higher level in the whole-person dimensions of their life. Whether one is motivated for short-term and situational concerns, or more internally motivated for deeper understanding of self and life-stage fulfillment, the counselor/ client relationship remains paramount as an agent of change.

Better Times Recovery is a STATE APPROVED AGENCY and ACT Program. I have more than 25 years experience treating substance use and gambling disorders. Drug and Alcohol Evaluations for both adults and adolescents can be obtained from me. I will always give more than is required and be your best advocate. If you are having problems due to alcohol and drugs whether it be marriage, relationship, employment/school, or legal we can work together toward BETTER TIMES. I am a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) who stands ready to assist those employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol regulation. I make MAT referrals.
