I assist clients who grapple with anxiety, depression, church/spiritual abuse, anger, relationship struggles, sex/porn addiction, trauma, and grief. Though I provide treatment to people of all faiths or none, I integrate Christian faith into the counseling process for those who appreciate that perspective. My counseling office is shame-free, where you are free to heal and be whole.

Sometimes things don't turn out like we plan. Life can be discouraging at times. Situations outside of our control occur and can knock us off of our feet. Whether it be from past familial trauma, current familial issues, work burnout, chronic diagnoses or terminal illness, issues within the relationship, the struggles of parenting (especially special needs children), traumatic birth experiences, or life transitions, I am here to help you navigate through all of this and more.

I am an EMDR trained therapist who specializes in working with those who have experienced trauma. I believe that humans have amazing potential to heal from even the most difficult experiences and that healing occurs in connection with others. I hope to offer a safe and accepting space where all beliefs and backgrounds feel welcome. I believe in taking a client-centered approach and that therapy should meet your individual and unique needs. The relationship between the counselor and client can be a powerfully healing one and I would be honored to have the opportunity to earn your trust.

Most people can benefit from EMDR therapy, which is often coupled with CBT and other therapies.

My couples come to me because they are struggling with understanding each other, their struggles in how to communicate and resolve conflict has not only destroyed their friendship but has left them feeling alone and leading parallel lives. They desire that connection and miss the fondness and admiration, and intimacy they once had.

As your counselor, my goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental place for you to process feelings, thoughts, and experiences. I use a person-centered approach and walk alongside you as we work towards your therapeutic goals. I strive to help children (age 10 and above), adults, and couples develop the tools needed to gain confidence in one’s ability, maintain healthy relationships, and successfully cope with life’s changes and challenges.

With several years of personal and professional experience working with recovery from pornography and problematic sexual behavior, I utilize a trauma-informed approach to treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, and process addictions. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services from Evangel University, and received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Missouri State University.

As a therapist on staff at Synergy Executive, an RTC for men, I specialize in treating adults who are struggling with addiction. My therapeutic approach is rooted in respect for the individuality of each client and a true sense of empathy for the emotional pain that often underlies substance abuse. While fostering an atmosphere of acceptance, free of moral judgment, I attempt to meet my clients "where they're at" in terms of their degree of motivation for change. Despite the emotional and social chaos that often inhabits my clients' lives, I believe strongly in each individual's capacity for regaining stability and finding meaning.

Carl Rogers, the father of Person-centered therapy, once stated, "The curious paradox is when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." I love to work with those people who have decided they are tired of "being tired" and have intention to make positive changes in their life.
