I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults with a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational problems. As a military veteran, I have a passion for the military and first responder communities. I am also passionate about providing clinical Christian counseling to those who have a faith background. I became a counselor as a result of my personal journey with counseling, and it is my desire to use my life experiences to build empathy and connect with my clients in a meaningful way.

My experience with childhood loss, a pervasive family history of depression and anxiety, and a recent diagnosis of ADHD have created opportunities to learn and grow personally and professionally. They may be dramatic as in accidents, death, divorce, job loss or serious illness or can come from positive experiences such as getting married, going away to college, starting a new job, moving away or giving birth.

To be a therapist is to be a co-laborer of change. I believe in getting in the trenches with my clients to work on the tough stuff. My greatest joy is watching clients leave my office having their awesome, life changing ah ha moments! Let's face it, sometimes in life we get stuck. Rightfully so, life is hard and sometimes we need help picking up the pieces with no judgment about our past. I believe that when we invite those stuck parts of us in to be learned and understood then, consistent progress is inevitable.

I have significant experience working with high school and college age students with their individual issues and helping their families work through family conflicts that arise during these developmental years. In the process of this, I have worked extensively with persons experiencing anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, identity issues, self-harm, bullying and interpersonal conflict. By virtue of working with families in these developmental stages, I also am asked to do pre-marital and marital therapy for a variety of age groups.

Every person has a unique path to walk in life. Sometimes you need someone to walk with you to guide, support, validate and encourage .
