In the 13 years that I've practiced as a clinician I've had the honor of working with a variety of individuals and families with a wide range of backgrounds, goals, and concerns. Historically, I have experience working with addiction and substance use disorders both with people trying to get a handle on their addictive behaviors as well as the loved ones of those struggling. I also work with the plethora of issues that come along with addictive issues including; Trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and attachment issues to name a few.
The goal of therapy is to create awareness. Our aim is to understand what we do and why we do it. Without awareness we don't have choice. Using a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy and Jungian approach we are looking to recover our most authentic self and see ourselves compassionately in order to move forward intentionally.
I take a clinical approach as a therapist and a personal approach as someone on the road as a fellow traveler. Therapy is a slightly different process for everyone as each of us are unique in our story and experiences. Therapy is about removing our most authentic self in a place free of shame and judgement.
