I am a compassionate and skilled professional committed to guiding individuals on their healing journey. I specialize in client-centered treatment for both adolescents and adults, spanning ages 12 to 65. My approach is eclectic, drawing from a diverse range of therapeutic exercises and coping skills derived from various modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care.

I am happy to serve anyone who needs help working through issues that have made their life more complicated or harder to deal with. I have helped people cope with grief and loss of loved ones, struggles in their relationship, or just the every day hardships that make it more difficult to get up and deal with the world.

I believe that people are naturally resilient. Therapy offers an opportunity to boost resilience by nurturing awareness and finding greater strength and fulfillment. Most of us have found ways to manage stress, but the things that worked in the past might not work today. We often feel stuck. I seek to provide a space for observation, reflection, and exploration so that new narratives and choice can emerge. Understanding linkages between early, implicit learning experiences, including attachment patterns, and present modes of thinking and behaving is key to sustainable growth and change. Welcome! My doors are open to individuals, couples, & families in various stages of life. I work with a wide range of issues, but specialize in Anxiety/OCD & Relationship Struggles. I particularly love working with couples navigating life adjustments (infidelity, fizzled spark, empty nest, etc) and adult individuals grappling to overcome life-hurdles (divorce, parenting, employment distress). Though I love working with children, my schedule often interferes with school hours, and I will likely refer you to another therapist who offers evenings or weekends. Maybe another clinician on our team will be a better match!

With a vibrant spirit and dedication to lifelong learning, I earned dual Master's degrees in Social Work and Jewish Studies from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 1991, also completing the esteemed Baltimore Institute of Jewish Communal Service program.Over the years, I've joyfully contributed to various nonprofit organizations as an educator, community organizer, and social worker. Alongside my loving husband, we've raised three wonderful children, now thriving young adults.
