Life is hard. We do the best we can to solve our problems with the knowledge we have. But sometimes we find ourselves in a difficult spot where we need fresh perspectives and new thinking tools to help us deal with our problems in a healthier way. That is the benefit of counseling. In a safe and affirming environment, I help my clients find solutions to problems that are solvable, learn to better cope with those that are unsolvable, and discover deeper joy and meaning in life.
My own life's journey has traversed the mountains of joy, sorrow, loneliness, emotional numbness, disappointment, and profound gratitude. Between the peaks and valleys I have seen numerous shades of gray. Life is simple and complex, clear and nuanced, light and darkness....altogether a splendid laboratory for learning and growth.
My goal as a therapist is to help my clients navigate their unique journeys in ways that honor their life experiences, improve their relationships, enhance their innate capabilities, and foster new capabilities. In doing so, I hope to help my clients be their best selves and experience long-term happiness.
