As a therapist who is Chinese-American, a child of immigrants, and a first generation college student, I am passionate about working with individuals who seek help with identity conflicts, discrimination, intergenerational trauma, self-esteem issues, and are looking to create a life that is consistently in harmony with their core authentic values. I understand the nuances and challenges of growing up with conflicting values and identities and how that has had adverse impacts on the way we function in the world today. In a therapeutic setting, we can let the walls down and feel safe enough to let the true change you seek, begin.
I use the past to inform us of how you relate and react to the environment today. With the awareness we build, I bridge evidence-based techniques in to promote the development of new ways of responding to replace the old, unwanted ways. I have specialized in working with eating disorders, addiction, and co-occurring issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD.
There is no feeling like being able to live unapologetically and authentically as who you truly are at your very core. When we don't get to live in alignment with ourselves too often, it begins to create dis-order. If any of this resonates with you, I hope it is worth reaching out to see if we will be a good fit working together towards the life you seek!
