Why do I need therapy? Therapy is for people who are crazy or out of control! I should be able to do this by myself! Asking or getting help means I'm not capable or strong. People are in therapy "cause they have to be." Couple's therapy is a last resort. Family therapy doesn't work/is not for me. Are any of these questions going through your mind? Is it helpful to know you are not alone? Sometimes, people are apprehensive about engaging in therapy or leery about continuing with therapy. All of the above reactions are understandable considering people's experiences. Licensure supervision/professional consultations offered.

I work with adults needing support with anxiety, depression, parenting/life stressors, career ambivalence, relationship issues, self-esteem, cultural factors, and transition. Chris is a nationally recognized speaker, trainer and clinical consultant in the areas of addiction, trauma, and men’s health, as well as, having worked as a clinician and clinical supervisor in various levels of care in addiction treatment continuum. A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC), and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Clinical Supervisor (LCDCS), Chris graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW).

I am a Recovery Coach and Case Manager at Ocean State Recovery Center. I have a bachelors in Psychology and am currently working on my LCDP supervision hours. I am also a person in longterm recovery and it is my passion to work others and help them in anyway I can to get back on track to a life free from drugs and alcohol.

My therapeutic approach centers around establishing a trusting and collaborative environment for clients to navigate their challenges. I am dedicated to providing a warm, inviting, and non-judgmental space, empowering individuals to confront obstacles and find peace and balance in their lives.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts with 20 years of experience helping clients work through personal challenges. I focus on developing and fostering a safe, non-judgmental space in which clients can more comfortably explore their concerns and issues while working to resolve such things. My approach to therapy is integrative and draws on multiple modalities, thus allowing me to tailor how I work with each client as an individual.
