My clients seek my help in order to become more self-aware and to explore and change those problematic behaviors that cause unhappiness in their personal or professional lives. In our work together, I offer the support and guidance they need to become less vulnerable to the effects of intense or overwhelming emotions. In turn my clients learn how to be more, resilient, flexible, grounded and creative, and ultimately, become more fully engaged in their lives and relationships.
With over 25 years of clinical experience, I currently treat clients with a variety of anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, Executive function issues, and interpersonal conflicts. I especially enjoy working with young women who are navigating the many difficult choices of work and family.
I take a wholistic approach to my work, which means that I consider how biology, environment, personality, and life circumstances converge within the individual. My therapeutic perspective is compassion and strength based; my personal style is down to earth, warm, non-judgmental and direct. I especially value using humor in my sessions.
