Hello! I hope this message finds you doing well, if not, you are in the right place. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Masters in Social Work graduate of Simmons University in Boston, MA. (The oldest university of social work in the US.) I immigrated to the US at age 7 from Angola, Africa and grew up in Boston, MA. I speak Portuguese and English fluently. I have traveled the United States as a military wife and mother of 4 and now call Texas my home.
The military community I have lived in has given me a special view of the trauma that so many live with and effectively hide beneath their mask of normalcy in this abnormal world.
I specialize in trauma therapy for children ages 5 - 17 and dominantly work with this population and their families; however, as many of our maladaptive adult coping skills stem from undisclosed childhood trauma, I also treat adult survivors of childhood trauma.
