For any families, couples, and individuals who are experiencing significant difficulties, communication is the most important tool we can use to alleviate these concerns. In today's world, families are no longer spending quality time and that has developed many of our societal concerns. Teen pregnancy, domestic violence, suicides and so on. This is why it is extremely important to address these issues before they become major concerns.

Our field has been ready for a different kind of therapy approach for a long time! Along with traditional evidence-based psychotherapeutic techniques, I use alternative, complementary, adjunctive, holistic, and integrative modalities. Neuroplasticity is our goal and the brain-body connection is my passion! I focus on the interface between physical health, mind/brain health, and spiritual factors that contribute to overall mental and physical health. Using my 11-point system, I help people restore their life balance. I got your back and you are in a safe place. I now offer neurofeedback!

Does that voice in your head constantly tell you that you’re not meeting the mark? Maybe, you never feel good enough or accomplished. Are you dealing with depression or anxiety? You’re tired, and you want to feel happy, fulfilled, and accomplished in all areas of life including relationships, work, parenting, school, and everywhere else. Maybe you even have some past traumas that you want or need to work through. It’s time for something new; it’s time for changes to be made.

I became a Licensed Profesional Counselor to be able to help people reach their full potential and get healthy coping skills to cope with stressors. In today's society, everyone goes through emotional distress and finds different ways to cope with it. Unfortunately, some of those coping mechanisms are unhealthy and create more stress that affects our lifestyle.

I specialize in working with individuals who work in high risk occupations such as law enforcement and the military. I also have a great deal of experience working with the partners and family members of what I like to call "High Risk Humans". If you feel your life is stressful and complicated, don't hesitate to reach out to me because in reality, you don't have to work in an obviously stressful occupation to feel like you have a high stress, high risk life.

Schedule an appointment through the website link! During those times in life when we feel frustrated, tired, down, anxious, doubting ourselves and in need of someone that listens to our problems, a helping hand could make a big difference. My philosophy of counseling is based on the principles of increasing awareness of our thoughts and behaviors, being able to modify patterns that are not working for us, achieving balance in life, promoting respect between the individuals, and establishing strong connections with other human beings. My goal is for clients to obtain skills that will be helpful in managing emotions and behaviors.

We believe that mind, body, and spirit are interconnected; we will help you take inventory of your mental health, physical health, and emotional health to find what works for you. When working towards a goal, people struggle with balance; they stop drinking, but start binge eating; end a toxic relationship, begin isolation; gain financial independence, lose family time.

How can I find a therapist in El Paso?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online or over the phone can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the United States, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist, psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
