Do you struggle with feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt or unworthiness? Do these emotions seep into your daily life, relationships and overall sense of satisfaction? Perhaps you often feel overwhelmed and consumed by the pressures of living up to other people’s standards, continuous comparison to others, and fear being judged, rejected, or causing upset. Overthinking is far too familiar, leaving you feeling stuck in a cycle with no clear way out. You might catch yourself downplaying your struggles with thoughts like “It’s not a big deal…I should be handling this better…” Despite your best efforts, you’re left feeling unsteady.

Are you commonly losing yourself in relationships? Do you easily give up yourself to please others? Do you find yourself saying, "I don't even know who I am?" Or maybe you would say, "I'm not sure I've ever known who I am." Do you have a history of childhood trauma/abuse, or were you raised by toxic parents? Or perhaps you have experienced spiritual abuse perpetrated by parents, or false spiritual leaders. Are you gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, non-binary, queer, questioning other member of the LGBTQ+ population? Are you having relationship problems? I have worked with these issues and more for over more than 30 years.

When we start seeking out romantic partners, we seek out what is familiar- what we learned from our parents or caregivers. Sometimes our parents gave us great examples of what a future relationship should be like; other times, our parents showed us what to avoid in those relationships. As adults we are continually trying to recreate what feels comfortable in our future relationships based on our past experiences, namely, our childhood environments. Things can go wrong when we have unmet emotional needs from childhood and then project them onto our partner. This can lead to many disappointments and failed expectations.

Just so you know, my eyes don't see the person you used to be, I only see the person you are fighting to become! This defines the work I do daily with my clients. The willingness to face things you want to change, is all it takes. Fear is expected as change comes, however we can BUILD a toolbox of coping skills to diminish the fear & anxiety you have. I will support you with empathy & compassion along the pathway to healing. Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. Peace in your soul is obtainable, let me help you

I am a trauma-informed licensed therapist with ten years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families to manage depression, anxiety, PTSD, family conflict, life transitions, and self-esteem issues. One of my greatest joys as a therapist is working with members of diverse communities to be the best version of themselves. I believe that we can best heal and grow through emotional intelligence, self-mastery, and understanding of how our cultural background and life circumstances have impacted our life outlook. I have helped many people over the years establish a stronger sense of self-esteem and life direction.
