Did you know you cannot have self-esteem without a Self to esteem? Perhaps you have been taught in some way not to go within to find that Self. Spiritual/religious abuse, one of my specialties, can prohibit such internal explorations. But other forms of abuse, traumas and familial/social/cultural pressures can cause us to avoid going within. My job is to help you traverse your own inner terrain to find authenticity and healing. When we go within, we find that Self, who becomes our guide and healer.
I believe that it is my job to help you become your own therapist. Regardless of your history, it is possible to heal and to live a happy life. I want help you find your authentic Self, for just learning to live more authentically can be very healing. I use both Transpersonal and Cognitive therapy to facilitate your capacity to become your own therapist.
Life is often very painful and frightening. We often don't know, in the midst of such pain, how truly brave and smart we have been to survive. I want to help you find that strength and come to rely on it; to trust your authenticity to guide you in choices that improve your life, your relationships and decrease your anxiety and depression.
