I believe all people were created with dignity and worth for relationships as beautiful masterpieces that are fragmented by both small and large traumas due to the brokenness of our world. My passion is to walk alongside others in their healing, equipping them with the tools they need to address their emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual goals in pursuing restoration and wholeness. My Christian faith lays the foundation to offer acceptance, grace, freedom, and confident hope for healing. My approach to therapy utilizes Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and somatic work, and is systemic in focus.

Many people feel that they are destined to repeat unhealthy patterns of behavior that have been passed down from generations before them. The feeling of hopelessness sets in and it is easy to just accept that nothing will ever change. I work with high functioning, motivated people who are ready to break that cycle of unhealthy behavior patterns and are looking for help. My goal is to help you break those patterns and feel empowered to live a more fulfilling life.

I have many years of experience in child welfare, fostering, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. I have experience working with victims of sexual abuse and their caretakers, helping in the healing process. I provide services in the areas of - Children and adolescents with behavioral and sexual issues - Anxiety and depression (including postpartum depression) - Relationship challenges: couples and families - Phase-of-life changes, grief, and loss - Life stresses and next steps.

I believe in having hope and moving forward to live a fulfilling life. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Emporia State University. I have 17 years experience in the child welfare system with 10 years of that as a therapist in residential, outpatient, and school settings.

I believe we each have a calling and unique purpose in life, with specific strengths, gifts, and passions waiting to be pursued to unlock our full potential. Oftentimes, through brokenness and hurt, we can lose sight of our purpose and feel weighed down by the heaviness of life. I am passionate about helping others feel understood and find their way by offering compassion. I have experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complexities of trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, communication issues, and life transitions, empowering them to emerge more resilient.

I have a passion for working with clients who have the desire to find the peace and wisdom that is within each of us. I enjoy walking alongside client systems to aide them in reaching their chosen goals; I am not the expert in you and working to uncover your strengths and wisdom is an honor to witness. I operate under the belief that therapy is helpful to challenge our current belief systems and often narrating our story for another to hear can be challenging. I hope to provide a safe space to navigate the mysteries and beauties of life.

I work from a holistic approach believing that everyone possesses inner skills and strengths. I assist in building upon those strengths while empowering clients to make positive changes in their lives. My desire is to meet clients where they are in life while collaborating with them on their therapeutic goals. Drawing to my faith, I use it to shape my approach with clients.

My therapeutic approach is to work with my Clients to help them develop the skills that will help them throughout their lives. I have worked with a wide range of Clients and their presenting issues and am currently offering therapeutic services for Individuals, Couples, Veterans, Groups and Families. I work with ages 6 and up and enjoy helping my Clients learn new techniques and skills to help them work towards improvement and establishing a better way of life.

My goal as a therapist is to empower my clients so that they may conquer both every day and long term goals. I combine multiple approaches and different activities for each client to create a unique experience for everyone. I push my clients to be their best through therapy and activities designed for outside of therapy. I want everyone to feel safe and encouraged to talk about their mental health concerns, no matter the size of their concern.

I believe that all families, couples, and individuals can be empowered to make change. Finding the therapist that understands how you are experiencing life is often anxiety provoking. Change is difficult, especially when people feel judged or shamed. I value the relationship I have with my clients. I work hard to make sure that every Client's story is taken seriously and heard, regardless of the situation.

I am a licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and have been practicing for nearly 28 years. I have worked in a number of different settings, including private practice, in Kansas and Connecticut. I have experience working with adolescents, veterans, service members, adults, and couples. Throughout my career I have worked with individuals around issues of anxiety, depression, bereavement, marital conflict, blended family issues, as well as sexual and domestic violence, interracial relationships, and LGBTQ+.
