Couples are my specialty and I believe that if you both want your relationship to be fulfilling, there are ways we can get you there. Even if you think it’s impossible, I have faith in you, and will carry that faith until you can believe in yourselves again. Even if you are recovering from an affair or other infidelity, I believe you can rebuild the relationship, and I will help. I have been a Licensed Family and Marriage therapist since 2013, with much of my experience coming as part of a group practice that specializes in the issues of couples.I get it, relationships are not easy.

Life can feel relentless. You might be grappling with intrusive thoughts, finding it challenging to place trust in others or in your own judgment. It's possible you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling to manage everyday responsibilities. In your relationship, you may sense strains characterized by criticism, defensiveness, or even contempt. You might be among the many adults grappling with establishing healthy boundaries with loved ones, including adolescent or adult children. Whatever your circumstances, I am committed to providing you with the individual attention and care you deserve.

I am broken from life's hardships AND I am restored from working through my own adversities. This means that I feel fully capable of being present for you, however that looks. I strive to provide a place that offers hope, healing, trust, and applicable tools that will equip you to work through the discomfort. My faith is a driving force in who I am as I trust it to create a reflective, affirming, and authentically real presence in every aspect of my life.

I work with adults in their 30s-70s who is overwhelmed with chronic stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, grief/loss and/or life disrupting childhood trauma/post-traumatic stress. I also work with individuals and couples who want to resolve problems within their relationships, life transitions, divorce, including cultural identity issues. I work well with men who are in midlife (30s-70s) struggling with anxiety, aging and/or depression. I also work with those who are going through many life changes and identity conflicts. These clients often feel lost, stuck and alone. Their anxiety, negativity and low mood is out of control.

Accepting NEW Clients - We all experience challenging seasons in life and need someone to help us make sense of our circumstances. We all go through transitions and loss. Sometimes unexpectedly, our life changes, or we've been struggling with something for too long in isolation, and you've been afraid to ask for help. Every day you go through life with a smile on your face hoping that you can simply keep it together. In passing, people ask how you are doing, and you give the standard answer: “I’m fine. Thank you”, but deep down you wonder if anyone will ever see past the smile, and past that standard answer. You think to yourself, “Will anyone ever see the pain that I am carrying? Does anyone see Me? Does anyone even care!?”

I see individuals and couples in psychotherapy (adolescents, young adults, and adults) for a wide range of relationship and everyday struggles with feelings of anxiety, depression, and all life transitions. My initial desire to do therapy started with wanting to help minority men take some of the worlds weight off of their shoulders. I am also strongly motivated to help couples find their relationship goals. As of now I can help those who reside in Kansas or Missouri.

A void that allowed black and brown people to be left to find sometimes inadequate ways of dealing with real mental health issues. As you search you will find very few people that look like me that are in profession of mental health. This is unfortunate. Although my caseload is hugely diverse, what comforts my clients is I represent what in my field is lacking...a representative from a disenfranchised group of people helping to build up the individual, repairing relationships and making families whole.
