Not accepting new clients
Sometimes we don't see pain on the outside. Sometimes we silently suffer alone and it does impact our life in many ways- job, friends, family, romance, our self image/esteem, confidence. Sometimes we are haunted by the past. Sometimes there is depression/anxiety/panic. These are my kinds of clients. I see you and there is hope! Often, trauma and stress is what keeps us from enjoying life. What can goals be when the mud is thick? That's what I am here for. To assist in exploring the YOU in this life journey. Getting back to or finding your true self-loving more, respect understanding of self. Increase enjoyment for life connection.

We all have times that events take a toll on us mentally and emotionally. In some aspect we may try to push them down or avoid the existence of the issue. Maybe we have associations of weakness or feelings of inadequacy if we acknowledge those feelings or issues. I’m an LPC, CFRC with 12 years previous experience as an EMT and Volunteer Firefighter. I am EMDR level 1 & 2 trained for trauma and PTSD therapy. Beyond responder therapy, I have experience with sexual abuse, codependency work, healing the inner child, and promoting your own self-worth.

Rationally, you know you want to make a change. But emotionally you're stuck. You just can't get yourself to move forward and you may not know why. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief, you sense you need more than insight alone to achieve lasting change.

My ideal client is someone motivated for change and wants to better understand themselves and their world around them. I worked many years in school-based therapy learning and helping kids and families adapt and adjust to one another. I have always focused on trauma and trauma related issues because it was so needed. Since then I have seen adult and children alike to help foster positive change because trauma is a lifelong challenge. My goal for my clients is to walk away with a better understanding of who you are, what you need, and how to better your life.

You feel hopeless and fearful that you will never be able to get out of this dark place. You replay things that have happened in the past and somehow these things continue to pull you down. Your anxiety debilitates you and simple daily life tasks exhaust you. Vulnerability appears absolutely terrifying. First, it's uncomfortable talking through the struggles, yet it's uncomfortable holding it all inside. Whichever emotions or experiences that you battle, you are fully accepted. I welcome you to this safe space to just be yourself, as you process through the obstacles that led you to seek therapy.

Jungian Therapists

How does Jungian therapy work?

Jungian therapy, also called analytical psychology, focuses on a patient’s inner experiences and unconscious mind. Exploring a person’s unconscious mind can be achieved through several means, including the analysis of memories and dreams, and through physical exercises, such as art, dance, and word association.

How long does Jungian therapy last?

Jungian therapy is an intensive treatment type. Because its goal is to understand a person as a whole, including the unconscious aspects of them, treatment can range from months to years. Since patients learn the theory behind Jungian therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have completed.

Is Jungian therapy effective?

According to studies, many patients find success with Jungian therapy, and the century-old treatment has a devoted following. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Improvements in problem areas seem to continue even after the end of Jungian therapy, as people are able to continue working on themselves using the tools they’ve learned during the treatment.

Is Jungian therapy evidence-based?

Jungian therapy is theory-based, derived from the theories of Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist often called one of the fathers of psychology, along with Sigmund Freud. Jung developed his theories from observing the problems of patients, and developed many theories of how the mind works. Subsequent psychological research has determined that Jungian therapy can lead to significant improvement in most patients.
