I am collaborative, responsive, and direct, whether working with adolescents, individual adults or couples. I have varied training and specialties, and strive to assist those in treatment with me to reach an unsnarled, contented, mindful, chosen life. Aside from therapy of differing types and lengths, I also can offer second opinions, forensic consultations, and diagnostic assessments. A collaborative approach with you and with the other professional and personal contacts in your (or your family's) life is also my commitment.
I have training that extends from psychodynamic to family systems to object relations to hypontherapy approaches. I have a history of research, teaching and supervision in the academic discipline of psychology, as well as many contacts across varied related medical and mental health fields.
Specialized training consists of diagnostic assessment, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, adolescents, couples, divorce and custody matters, and hypnosis. I strive for as little psychobabble and as much genuineness as possible. Though based in Maine, my extensive experience with telehealth allows me to be comfortable with virtual collaboration.
