I have extensive experience with Eastern-European, Jewish, and Indian/South Asian communities, and love working with cross-cultural relationships.
Relationships can be hard. Partners struggle with communication, conflicting parenting styles, sexual expressions... Life's challenges, hurtful fights, history of trauma or infidelity make it difficult to sustain trust and closeness. How can you create desired connections, and not lose yourself in the process? How can you be true both to self and to your partnership? I invite you to explore these questions together with empathy and curiosity, letting go of habitual judgments, self-deprecation, and shame. I work with individuals, couples, and families. Both traditional and alternative lifestyles are welcome, and no issue is a taboo.

Raised by a Taiwanese parent and a Jewish parent, I am familiar with walking the walk of a third culture individual.
Whatever you’re experiencing, I hope to walk the line of being a support to you in your experience and by your side, while also, empathetically being a source of information that can provide evidence based practices as well as an experiential framework to help you get what you want. I plan on taking an awareness-based approach. I want to build your awareness so you can make more informed decisions. I want to co-create an environment that allows you to bring your whole self to therapy so that you can heal and grow.

I bring my lens as a queer, non-binary, poly, kinky, neurodivergent, radical, white, Jewish person.
How you feel towards yourself can profoundly impact your relationships, work, school, and more. And a lot can make it hard to feel your best. You might be: Exhausted by a relentless self-critical voice...Considering your next steps to feel authentically aligned with your gender and sexuality...Struggling with boundaries and people-pleasing... Stressed and stuck in your closest relationships...Curious about non-monogamy but unsure where to start...Looking for nonjudgmental guidance navigating dynamics within polyamory and kink — not to mention managing all of this under capitalism. No wonder you'd like support!

Telehealth Only - As a psychotherapist, it’s an honor to be a witness and facilitator to client transformation, resilience, and growth. My perceptiveness, compassion, and holding of a nonjudgmental space allow discovery and observation of patterns that may no longer be helpful. I see my work through a social justice perspective and understand oppression itself as a form of stress and trauma. As a mixed-race and multicultural person of African-American and Jewish ancestry, I honor experiences of intersecting identities and am deeply interested in intergenerational trauma and resilience.

One of the more meaningful things we can do for ourselves and each other is get to know who we are. Engaging this process with a trusted other can be especially helpful for making contact with vulnerabilities and strengths that may be outside of our conscious awareness. By moving towards what has been pushed away and expanding how we think and feel, we can access new freedoms, learn to struggle better, and live more vital and engaged lives for the time we have.

We are a team of humanistic therapists and associates. We offer Holistic Psychotherapy, which means that we focus on trusting and following the guidance of the body, mind and soul towards healing. We offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as well as experiential therapy. We believe that your symptoms and inner signals are not something to go to war with, but rather they can be a compass to track where there is emotional pain at its root. We will invite you to become more familiar with your body sensations through mindfulness and help you embody a process of healing and completion.

Your teen is under intense academic pressure, whether from high school demands or the overwhelming transition to college. The stress of grades, exams, and future decisions has led to anxiety, overwhelm, and deep self-doubt. They may feel lost, unsure of who they are or what they want, with expectations from themselves and others only adding to their burden. Technology and social media, once sources of escape, now fuel feelings of isolation, comparison, and inadequacy. You know it's a pivotal moment in their life, and it breaks your heart to see them struggle. You wish you had the right tools to guide them through these challenges.

Woundedness is inherent to our human experience, but so is our capacity for healing. In these uncertain and rapidly shifting times, feeling lost, isolated, or overwhelmed by life is only natural. But we are not meant to face it alone. Finding a supportive and attentive therapist can be the first step toward inner peace and deeper connections, both inwardly and with others. I view therapy as an evolving journey where we get to explore together your story and the various parts of yourself—the familiar as well as the unconscious. I truly believe we each already hold the wisdom and strength needed for this journey of growth.

I help busy professionals find relief from stress so they can regain balance and enjoy life again. When life feels like a never-ending to-do list, it can be tough to keep it all together—whether it's at work, at home, or both. The constant demands leave you feeling overwhelmed, on edge, and stretched too thin. And no matter how hard you try, it seems like it's never enough. Maybe you’re waking up tired, just going through the motions, or not finding joy in things that used to make you happy. It's as if you’re barely surviving, and you’re longing for more out of life. My practice offers you a much-needed pause.

Jewish Therapists

Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?

Therapists and clients don’t need to share the same background to be able to work together, but a therapist whose training includes a focus on cultural competence may be better able to form a therapeutic bond with individuals from a range of backgrounds, as they will have experience tailoring their approach to each client—and will be prepared to acknowledge and consider the effects of cultural forces, such as discrimination, that may contribute to that client’s concerns. With a professional who has such training, a client should feel comfortable discussing sensitive issues without feeling that they need to self-censor.

How can I recognize an effective Jewish therapist?

As with members of any religious or ethnic group, just because two people happen to be Jewish does not guarantee that they will share the same values, knowledge, or experiences. A Jewish client seeking a therapist who shares their cultural identity, or for whom it’s important that a therapist share their religious beliefs, may want to discuss a professional’s Jewish background with them before beginning therapy. For someone who seeks justification for major life changes in their religious tradition, or in biblical writings, finding a therapist who is comfortable framing guidance in that context may be especially valuable.

Would a Jewish therapist have unique training?

No, but they should have the same training and certification as any other mental health professional, as well as experience with a range of evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy or mindfulness-based therapy. A therapist with this type of experience should be able to help any client feel comfortable and safe, which is essential for a therapeutic alliance. Once this is established, a potential client may want to find out more about the therapist’s Jewish background.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience with Jewish clients?

A client can directly ask a therapist if they have extensive experience working with Jewish clients and if so, whether these individuals sought counseling for faith-related issues or marital or familial issues in which their Jewish background was a factor. A client may also wish to ask a potential therapist whether they incorporate Jewish teachings and values into their own professional work.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Jewish therapists?

The directory of Jewish therapists includes professionals who have opted to share their cultural background on their profiles. However, not all therapists choose to disclose their background, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. The directory also shows therapists who indicate that they have extensive experience working with Jewish clients and/or communities.
