Significant disconnection and shame are intense and unfortunately common experiences people are struggling with. Sometimes, our emotions or body sensations feel intense or overwhelming. This pain may lead us to act in ways that are against our values or desires. Perhaps we act out sexually, eat excessively, or are avoidant of relationships. Regardless, these behaviors often further our loss of control, distress, hurt, and low self-esteem.

I offer services for both mental health and addiction issues. I believe in finding hope and love in all the darkest places. Sometimes we encounter overwhelming circumstances on our journey called “life.” I am here to help those who feel lost, broken, and hopeless when all other avenues seem bleak. I believe that there is no “ONE” answer that fits all, therefore I will work with you on your journey to find the perfect balance of peace and reality. I will meet you on your path and we can work together to find a way back to a healthier and happier lifestyle. Life can be difficult to deal with. Issues from our past or on-going relationship problems can cause us considerable stress. Issues of shame and guilt can make us to feel depressed and anxious and keep us from living to our fullest potential. We all need to explore our fears, insecurities and those places of which we are not proud. My wish is to provide a safe place to allow individuals, families, or couples to explore those vulnerable places and begin healing. I have experience working with CPTSD and PTSD. I am trauma trained in EMDR and TFCBT. I chose to be a therapist to help clients understand that they are valued, and they can accept themselves, flaws and all. I am transparent in the active healing research-based approach I use in sessions. I want to empower clients to increase coping skills as well as engage in healthy relationships.

The path of life is rarely straight, and we all face ups and downs that can make us feel lost or out of balance. Hello. Thank you for inquiring about counseling services. I look forward to hearing from you. I provide services for individuals, couples, and families, ages ranging from preteen (12) - adulthood. I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, stress, depression, and relationship issues. I utilize traditional talk therapy, EMDR, and The TCM Method. My approach is strength based, person centered where the therapeutic relationship is key, along with a positive and supportive environment.

I have been involved in therapy for almost twenty years working in areas of criminal justice, social services, mental health, welfare and addiction treatment. I have enjoyed working with all age clients-each having different challenges. Although I enjoy working with all clients, areas of specialization: Adolescent behavioral issues, gambling and addictive behaviors, family and marriage counseling. I encourge clients to work on two main objectives: Self Empowerment and Acceptance of who they choose to be. I do not judge a person because of their concerns, I try to help them learn the tools to avoid future problems.

I have spent the last few years of my career working closely with young adults and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma. I also work with those struggling with addictions. I take a holistic approach with dealing with addictions. Treating all the issues that have lead to the use of substance. My typical client starts therapy seeking help to resolve issues that have lead to problems with school, work and/or relationships. I use several different modes of therapy to help them reach their goals such as motivational interviewing, supportive reflection, dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
