My ideal client would be between the ages of 7-13 and would be seeking help with anxiety-related struggles. Their needs would include cognitive restructuring & coping skill building to assist in their goals of decreasing their anxiety symptoms and better handling of transitions/change. The client would want to better understand what anxiety is and how it is connected to the symptoms they are experiencing. They would also want to know that anxiety can be normal and that they are not the only one who struggles with similar symptoms, understanding that therapy is healthy and helpful and can help use and build their existing strengths.

I am passionate about working with you to develop freedom and resilience to deal with past childhood trauma and everyday stress of life. So often life experiences have been traumatic and contribute to struggles with depression, anxiety and inability to function. I work from a somatic and body centered and psycho-dynamic approaches that meets the needs of teens and women with childhood trauma, addictions, anxiety and eating disorders. My focus is to engage the whole person: mind, body, will, spirit and emotions. My intention is to bring hope, resilience and grace into all difficult life experiences.

My specialty is working with people who have issues arising from sexual behavior problems, including sexually abusive behavior, sexual addiction, pornography addiction and Internet addiction. While sex can be a pleasurable part of life, its misuse can lead to infinite heartache and misery. Sexual behavior problems are multifaceted, and are often rooted in an attempt to cope with painful non-sexual issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and broken relationships. I work with individuals who have acted out sexually and also with survivors of sexual abuse and trauma.

I offer a genuine, compassionate and respectful relationship with clients, so they can reach greater self-awareness and insight. My goal is to help clients to reach greater satisfaction and balance with quality of life overall.

In my practice, I work with men and women, individuals and couples. I focus largely on the dynamics and the contexts in which people live, both in their current relationships and in the ones that helped to shape them. I help people through the transitions of their lives, through loss and "stuck" places, past the obstacles to achieving meaning in life and intimacy in relationships. I work in a cognitive/directive and very open personal style.

I aim to help children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with academic/social success.
