I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist in the mental health field. I am passionate about helping people overcome their life stressors, past hurts, and to function in a healthier way. I help clients who suffer from mental health disorders, current problems, substance related addictions along with process related addictions (i.e. sex, gambling, shopping). I most frequently use Insight Oriented Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches; as well as CBT and DBT when appropriate. I have extensive experience working with adults who are coping with trauma, domestic violence, struggle with depression, anxiety and addiction. My earlier work focused on immigrants and refugees who have experienced trauma. Our emphasis is childhood mood and behavioral disorders, as well as learning difficulties. We perform psychoeducational evaluations for possible LD/ADHD; we also treat depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems in a non-medical, family-based context.

I have been specializing in Biofeedback since 2004, with a primary focus on chronic pain, anxiety and stress management. Through the use of Biofeedback techniques and technology, relaxation, breathing, and other mind-body techniques, I have helped many people struggling with stress, pain and pain-related symptoms such as sleep problems, anxiety, muscle tension and breathing difficulties.
