I have been in private practice for ten years and I continue to be a "client" as well, which I believe gives me sensitivity and insights resulting in a non judging collaborative approach. I see therapy as an opportunity to use symptoms as a gateway to self discovery and growth, as a self actualizing process as we heal wounds, work through issues, and discover self potential.

We are licensed specialists who work with infants, toddlers, children, teens, adults, couples,and families. Services are provided in English and Polish. Each client will be listened to in a newly renovated office that promotes comfort and privacy. Individualized treatment is developed for each client to increase positive outcomes and success. We use evidence-based treatments that have been researched and found to reduce barriers that interfere with positive and healthy functioning.

I am a trauma informed provider and take a select amount patients with a focus on PTSD, childhood experiences and attachment. Welcome! We provide traditional and holistic healing for mind, body & spirit health. We work with individuals, couples, families & groups age 5 and up. The facility is located on a main street with free parking. This is a private practice with a private waiting room in a very comfortable & soothing setting. Look for the yellow house with raspberry trim. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. When you call, we will do a brief intake, verify your insurance benefits & schedule your first appointment. We do not have a waiting list and can schedule your first appointment within the same week.

I treat a broad range of issues among children through adults. I believe it is important to match a treatment approach with each individual's goals, personality, learning style, available supports, and core values. I also have a broad-based understanding of spirituality and contemplative approaches and am comfortable with integrating this into treatment when clients would like and as appropriate.

I began my professional career as a lawyer. Studying and practicing in the field of law helped me develop critical thinking skills and an understanding of how to navigate the practical challenges of life. However, working as a lawyer made me realize I wanted to help people on a more personal, emotional, and psychological level so they could be effective before they need a lawyer. So, at the age of 29, I quit my job as a family law attorney and went back to school to get a Ph.D. in Psychology. As a lifetime student, I am dedicated to learning. I want to learn more about you and help you get to where you want to be.

We solely see first responders, ER staff, and veterans at the FRWC. Being a former Chicago Police Officer for 13 years, I understand the unique needs of first responders and developed the center to help those who protect us. We see first responders due to trauma, crisis, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, job-related stress, suicide, etc. We also understand how there are concerns about engaging in therapy services and protecting your job. We ensure that you will have privacy and confidentiality. We have a separate entrance and exit to maintain confidentiality.

I am currently a LSW and PsyD Clinical Psychology Doctoral Candidate. I obtained my Masters in social work at Fordham University in New York and I am pursuing my doctorate at California Southern University. I am excited to be working with a team of highly skilled Therapists. I believe that therapy is about creating a space of healing and helping others evolve into the best version of themselves.Along, with counseling we are now offering TMS (Non-medication approach) to our schaumburg location.

Landstrom Center was founded in 2015 by Dr. Matthew Landstrom with a goal of bringing together a team of clinical professionals who are committed and enthusiastic about data-driven and evidence-based approaches. This goal was grounded in Dr. Landstrom’s unique approach to treatment, "Test first, no questions later!", which fully utilizes comprehensive diagnostic evaluations in order to provide the best and most individualized services, treatments, and resources for each patient.
