I specialize in working with various ages ranging from children, teenagers, and adults. Services include individual, family, and couples' therapy. I am able to help clients that are struggling with relationships/marriages, pre-marital issues, infidelity, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, conflict, parenting, trauma, and life transitions. Facing these challenges are never easy, but with the proper help and support, positive change can be made, which is what I strive to help achieve.

I have been a professional psychotherapist for the past 30 years. Early in my career, most of my focus was on the treatment of children, adolescents and families, often referred some of the most difficult cases from local schools, courts and police departments. As my practice evolved, so did my experience working with adult individuals and couples. Practical experience and continued professional training has enhanced my abilities to work with a variety of personal struggles that include depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, alcohol and substance abuse and relationship struggles with couples and families.

I have experience working with children and adolescents ages 2 1/2-24 years old and their families. I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and transiting youth that struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, self-esteem, ADHD, transitions and behavior concerns. My approach to therapy is collaborative and integrative in nature with sessions that are tailored to best fit the needs of the individual. I use behavioral intervention, parenting support, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, Solution Focus Therapy, as well as Art and expressive therapy.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward and Integrative approach and have our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.

Life is messy. That’s the motto I adopted a few years ago to remind myself that there is no such thing as perfect and rarely does everything go according to plan. My journey has taken me through a variety of messes…divorce, single parenting, job changes, remarriage and the blending of families, just to name a few. Although this isn’t the path that I planned to take, I am thankful for each step because of the healing and growth that accompanied it and ultimately led me to pursue my master’s degree in family and marriage therapy.

In our search for meaning, we find ourselves at the crossroads of doubt, despair, confusion, sadness, and hatred. The truth is... there's HOPE & HELP available out there.
