In my practice, I work with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem, codependency, and trauma.
Not accepting new clients at this time. More than likely, you're here because you're looking for some extra support. You may have noticed your low moods are more frequent or you are struggling with some anxious thoughts. There may have been some things that happened when you were younger that are surfacing and you just aren't sure how to navigate it all. I won't ever tell you that I have all the answers. What I will tell you is I am ready and willing to walk beside you and offer insight and tools in order to help you navigate your life to the best of your ability!

My blend of trauma-informed approaches with an annoying amount of accountability encourages and improves relationships for my clients which in turn improves their life satisfaction.
Relationships are my cup of tea. At the core of all of our lives are the relationships that we have with those around us. If we are unaware of how we impact others it’s impossible to have good relationships as we are operating out of our learned behavior rather than actively choosing the person we want to show up as. I call this going against our "urges"! When we recognize that we have a choice in who we are it puts us in a power position to make change in our life.

I have much experience working with trauma and those affected by traumatic situations.
Acceptance and Change. These two things seem like complete opposites don't they? Carl Rogers believes "When I accept myself, then I can change". We spend a lot of time hearing and believing that we, they, it needs to change to be "better" or "different". This creates a sense of loss, poor self esteem, depression, anxiety, and conflict within ourselves and with those we love. I believe when we accept others, family, loss etc, then change can happen within that as well. Therapy IS about change; learning new skills, stopping habits, doing life differently.

I specialize in helping clients deal with past and present trauma.
Do you feel frustrated and unhappy? Perhaps you feel that you have tried everything and you don't know what else to try. Take heart. Most people don't seek counseling until desperation has kicked in. I can give you the opportunity to talk with someone who has an unbiased view. I have 30 plus years in the medical and counseling field. Perfection is not an attainable goal, flaws are human and everyone has them. I use solution orientated therapy to help you fall in love with your true self.

I specialize in working with Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Women's issues, Adoption, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, as well as working with families through a Life Transitions.
My Ideal client is someone, child, adolescent, or adult, who is ready to make a change in their behaviors, thoughts, their life. This individual may be feeling anxious, or depressed, or tired of repeating the patterns that “get them into trouble”. This individual wants to learn how to manage their feelings or thoughts, process through their situations, while gaining skills to work through those situations, and learn to let things go. I find that the individuals (children and adults) ready for change “dive right into” my therapy toys/sand tray/art supplies so that they can begin processing their issues they way that they need to.

I specialize in Trauma, Anxiety, mind/body work, and Couples Counseling. I have a passion for a mind-body-spirit approach to mental health care as anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal stress have a great impact on all three. Two quotes that help explain my approach to Counseling are Carl Jung’s famous quote, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate” and a quote by Paul Batalden; “Every system is perfectly designed to achieve exactly the results it gets.” We function within many systems in our lives and one of the most important systems is our internal one.

I am passionate about about survivors of relationship trauma regardless of age.
I am best with clients ready to look into the painful parts of themselves and their pasts. This allows them to understand and embrace those parts with the help of a "fellow traveler". I seek a place of equality and compassion and I walk with my clients through the darkness.
