Hello and welcome! I love working with clients who want to understand themselves as fully as is possible. My clients tend to come to therapy for a specific reason, but often stay to explore and discover more broadly, seeing the treatment process as a tool of growth and expansion. I work well with clients of all genders, sexual orientations, and cultural backgrounds, and I see the therapy relationship as a sacred container for meaningful personal healing and evolution. I find that most clients are seeking a combination of practical help and deep insight, and I really enjoy moving with flexibility and spontaneity between these goals.
I've been providing therapy for 28 years, and was trained at the University of Pennsylvania (BA) and U.C. Berkeley (MA./Ph.D.) My clients and colleagues describe me as warm, welcoming, insightful, non-judgmental, collaborative, and funny. I bring to sessions the depth of insight-oriented approaches to therapy as well as the wisdom of mindfulness-based work.
It's brave to contemplate being vulnerable with another human being in the service of understanding yourself and growing into your potential. I will do my utmost to provide an atmosphere of safety and respect so that you can feel better, become more fully known to yourself, and at the same time honor the journey that has brought you to this point. Be well!
