I'm an Italian – Ghanaian Immigrant and I understand what its like to face uncertainty. At young age I immigrated to the U.S and had to deal with all of life’s curveballs: parental divorce, adjusting to new culture, anxiety, depression, etc. However, I learned what it means to be resilient. Resilience takes vulnerability and courage. It takes believing you will make it out on the other side. I understand what it is like to face life’s pressures and questions: what if I fail, and what if I am not good enough? Door of Hope Counseling Center is a private non-profit that offers hope and healing to those who are hurting as a result of trauma and grief, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, relational issues, parenting issues, or more severe mental health issues. A sliding fee scale is available for those without insurance. Individual, family, group and couples counseling is offered. Play therapy is available for children. Door of Hope serves clients between the ages of 5 to senior adults. I have 29 years experience in community mental health and residential mental health. As a registered Supervisor, I provide supervision for licensure.

Desiri has been working in the mental health field since 2018. She obtained her Masters in Counseling from Ottawa University in 2021. Desiri works strategically using Solution focused and Cognitive Behavioral approaches. Being aware that everyone is not the same, she takes a custom fit approach to meet the client’s needs where they are to help each and every individual.

Christina has been working in the mental health field since 2015. She gained her Masters in Psychology with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2013. She has worked with individuals, couples and families helping them to regain control of their lives and find joy in their everyday experiences. Christina started her work as an Applied Behavioral Analyst (ABA) working where she learned many skills. She then moved to Intensive In Home Family Therapy working with at risk teens. After that she started working in private practice where she found her love of working with individuals, couples, and families.

Jeannie Geherin Hatt helps adults, adolescents, children and couples find their best life. Through supporting her clients, they develop and utilize effective techniques for managing and decreasing personal stressors, overcoming personal obstacles, and bringing hope back into their lives. Because her life has been blessed by these techniques, she desires to share them with you. Jeannie uses clinically tested and evidence-based interventions to accomplish this, including techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused CBT. She earned her Master's in Professional Counseling from Carlow University in PA.
