My ideal clients are millennial individuals who find themselves struggling to get what they need out of relationships with others. Whether that relationship is with a parent, peer or significant other, their goals are to set new boundaries, develop healthier habits and learn effective communication and conflict resolution skills in order to verbalize and ultimately have their needs met within the relationship. My ideal clients are also individuals/couples struggling with issues surrounding sexuality. I am pleased to work with cisgender and LGBTQ+ identifying, and those identifying with or looking to explore alt relationship styles.

Reaching out to a therapist is hard. So first, take a moment to commend yourself for prioritizing your wellbeing - it is difficult, even for me as a therapist! I believe that we all have a desire for genuine relational connection. However, our past experiences (eg. oppression, trauma, relational disconnections) inform our strategies of survival (eg. perfectionism, addiction, avoidance), which paradoxically leave us feeling dysregulated, isolated, or stuck in painful relationships. I see therapy as a space where you and I can co-create an open & authentic relationship, which will help us explore and heal your current life stressors.

I endeavor to create a warm and safe environment in which my clients can feel comfortable opening up and sharing their thoughts, feelings, concerns and challenges. I value my clients input and enjoy our ability to collaborate as we work toward your mental health goals. I believe it is very important for every individual to be able to find a clinician they can connect with and feel supported by, while at the same time can challenge you, the client and encourage you to challenge yourself.

I believe each client has a unique experience and those individual experiences will need a unique and tailored approach. I assist couples, and individuals with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem, identity development and other areas. I am often working with people on communication, wants/needs/boundaries, and healthy emotional processing. I am sex positive and assist couples and individual in expressing needs, wants, and emotions in a functional way. Building trust and personal growth is the hallmark of my work. I provide a nonjudgmental and safe space for anything my clients bring into discussion.

Hello everyone, my name is Christian Waller and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 5 years of experience. I have provided both individual and group therapeutic services to children, teens, and adults.
