Having a difficult time processing feelings and emotions? Family and friends unable to help or finding it difficult to understand what you are experiencing? I have over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families through their emotional healing process. I am committed to helping others process their feelings and emotions associated with the unforeseen circumstances of life.

My passion is children. I have dedicated the past 25+ years of my career as a licensed professional, school counselor, and special education teacher (emotional and behavioral disorders) to working with some of the most vulnerable, challenging, and high needs populations. Clients and colleagues describe me as welcoming, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, engaging, structured, and solution-focused. In this practice, I will primarily focus on children ages 4-17 and their families regardless of race, culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, socioeconomic status, disability, or other individual differences.

This means I want to know your story that lead you to me and how you want my help making edits and rewriting it. Nobody wants to feel like a burden. Feeling like a burden often leads to not wanting to talk to family and friends about our problems or struggles. This is where therapy can be useful. I work with individuals who are seeking help navigating difficult thoughts and feelings. My goal is to make it as easy as possible to open up. By creating a non-judgmental space, we can work on overcoming worries and stress. Feeling overwhelmed, at times, is part of the human experience but does not have to be a permanent state to live in.

Hello and welcome! I have experience working with trauma, PTSD, domestic violence victims, chronic pain/health issues, depression, anxiety, death, grief and loss. I like to begin by getting to know my client and their specific needs so that we can work together to identify the goals for therapy and devise a plan of action for treatment. I take an integrative person-centered approach to therapy with my clients. My clients tell me I am a compassionate, non-judgmental therapist. I work with clients from all walks of life. I have experience working with LGBT Center, Safe Shelter, cancer patients/survivors, and veterans.

Katie Austin is an LMSW graduate from the University of Southern California. She specializes in trauma, depression, anxiety, alcohol and substance abuse, and personality disorders. She has experience working with young adults through elder adults from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, she has extensive life experiences as a military spouse and volunteer, which led her to earn a Masters of Social Work. She embraces the concept of meeting an individual where they are by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients reach their goals.

I really enjoy working with clients who are addressing confidence, self-esteem and intimacy concerns. I am sex positive, kink-friendly and affirming. I have experience working with adults to address self-esteem, relationship issues, communication barriers and boundaries, in addition to other emotional concerns. I have training in processing trauma narratives and am working toward becoming a Certified Sex Therapist. My favorite part about being a therapist is celebrating your accomplishments, and showing you that you are worthy and deserving of being celebrated!

Youla Overbey is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in three States: Georgia, Louisiana and Michigan. She started her career in 2009 working in various social services agencies, community mental health clinics, and school settings. Her experience includes working with battered women, at-risk youth, families in crisis, and indigenous people.

In my practice, I aim to empower clients to deepen their self-understanding, cultivate self-worth, and nurture self-love. Rooted in empathy, I gently encourage clients to explore underlying issues that continue to impact their lives. I foster a space where individuals feel fully accepted, valued, and respected. I’m passionate about supporting individuals who have faced trauma, encounter challenges in their relationships, struggle with low self-esteem, grapple with anxiety and depression, or just want a place to process everyday stressors (or someone to share your latest Netflix obsession with).

Shawn’s passion lies in the area of crisis triage, trauma recovery, and addiction. Shawn offers an innovative, triphasic approach to trauma therapy incorporating EMDR and established trauma techniques with a unique connection with community and others. Offering individuals who identify with trauma a community of support and healing, she has introduced hundreds of individuals to healing, belonging and acceptance. Currently seeing clients in person and telehealth.

I have experience treating individuals and couples with depression, anxiety, attachment and trauma. I have worked extensively with teens, young adults and adults and believe my relationship with my clients is a partnership working to achieve the clients goals.

My name is Savanah and you read that correctly, my name is spelled with only one N and my parents told me it was because we couldn’t afford both. I grew up in a family that had a lot of the right ingredients (like warmth and humor) but didn’t have some of the tools that would have made home life a whole lot easier for us all. So, I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because families are where we can experience a lot of pain and frustration, but also tremendous healing. On an individual level, I know the relief of breaking free from from behaviors and thoughts that keep us in the exhausting cycle of pain and confusion.
