I’m a multicultural and multilingual therapist who keeps it real. I’m trained in yoga and mindfulness and have experience working in high schools as well as clinics throughout NYC and NJ, bringing mindfulness on-the-go and helping people recognize the skills or techniques they need to move forward. As a first-generation American who grew up in a multicultural family, I integrate this perspective in helping others realize their unique goals and dreams. An ideal client recognizes their substance use has become problematic and is motivated to make positive changes. They may face physical, emotional, and interpersonal issues and feel overwhelmed. Services they may require include diagnosis, counseling, group therapy, and referrals for additional resources. Their goals may include abstinence, physical/mental health improvement, relationship repair, and healthy coping strategies. Motivations for seeking help vary, but clients must have a desire for a fulfilling life free from negative consequences of substance abuse. Support and empowerment are essential in the journey to recovery.

My approach to therapy is to share with you a safe, non-judgmental space which we can build a strong therapeutic relationship so that together we can explore the challenges you face and develop a way to make changes and choices in your life so that your life is easier. I use a mix of evidence-based practices and approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I will support you through our collaborative work in addressing harm, coping strategies, and facilitating healing.
