My name is Lawrence Goldberg and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Over the past 38 years I have worked in a variety of settings and have helped individuals with a number of concerns including adjusting to difficult or traumatic experiences. I work with adults adjusting to major life events such as divorce, career change, conflict at work, health challenges and those who have been through trauma.

I am working with both adolescents and adults. My theoretical orientation to counseling and psychotherapy is rooted in the philosophy of a humanistic-existential approach to human functioning. I use the tenets of individual responsibility to choice and decision-making and apply them within a cognitive-behavioral perspective (CBT) to counseling and clinical work. Joe has mainly focused on children with all types of needs but is very comfortable with adults and families as well. During his time as an LCSW he has encountered the most challenged populations and has helped families in crisis situations. Joe has also been a supervisor, developer, and trainer to other clinicians and professionals that address behavioral health including teachers, police officers, and school board employees.
