Greetings, I am a therapist who has more than 25 years of experience providing services to individuals, couples and families who are seeking growth and understanding as they navigate life challenges and opportunities. I believe that learning about our strengths will help us to resolve personal challenges and increase self awareness. I believe in strength based therapy as well as goal directed therapy to resolve various challenges to include anxiety, depression and self doubt. Additionally, I believe that good communication skills is necessary to maintain healthy couples and family dynamics.

I primarily provide individual counseling for court ordered and DUI clients that need a substance abuse evaluation, mental health evaluation, anger management classes (2 day, 8-12 hours or 8-12 weeks) and/or Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) / Batter's Intervention Program (BIP). I accept private self pay clients and do not accept insurance.

The client that might be best suited for my style of therapy are adults who are looking for a change in life but are often reluctant to reach out for support. Therapy is an unknown and can be intimidating, that's why I like to focus is on a client's strengths instead of their weaknesses, which can allow for a client to build up the good in their life by constructing solutions, rather than focusing on the problems. I like to support and guide a client in developing ways to handle whatever might be causing them stress and help them find more positive ways to cope and move forward in their life journey.

Life can be challenging....these are unsettling times. It is difficult, to say the least, to manage family stress and connection. I work with adults and couples, specializing in treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, caregiver fatigue, people pleasing, and PTSD. I create a supportive, safe, and judgement free environment in therapy. I believe that your experiences and concerns deserve to be honored and heard in a respectful way.

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), behavioral health therapist, and college instructor with a PhD in psychology. Often problematic behavior can result in conflict with partners, spouses, parents, children, or work. I assess and treat people with challenging behavior that may affect their quality of life, and that of others. I employ evidence-based therapies including Behavior Analysis and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address overt (observable behavior) and covert (private events or thoughts) that can interfere with daily life. I work in office, clinic, home, school, work or community environments.

I have been treating individuals,couples and families for over 25yrs. I work specifically with troubled teens, difficult marriages or relationships as well as painful issues such as depression, anxiety,anger,abuse,codependency,OCD,dissociative problems,ADHD,PTSD and spiritual confusion. My approach is very positive, affirming and designed to address the individuals personality accepting them where they are, with the goal of achieving what they desire. I use a combination of cognitive restructuring,behavioral changes, emotional healing and spiritual renewal if one so desires. I am able to connect well with most of my clients helping them feel comfortable.

At times, life can become too much to bear for a multitude of reasons and I am here to tell you that you are not alone. I am here to listen to all your worries, concerns, and whatever you wish to explore with your anxiety, depression, and relational issues. Are you looking to understand how to better form connections?
