Alison Flynn Bobroski is a graduate of Walden University where she received her Master's Degree. She is an Independent Contract Clinician at Genesis Counseling with locations in Coral Springs, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and virtually throughout Florida. Alison has experience working with children, teens and adults. Alison worked with a multitude of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, childhood related issues, behavioral issues, family conflict, stress and other presenting symptoms. She is trained in EMDR.

I have thirty-five years of experience in the field of education and counseling. I earned my Master's Degree at Bradley University where I was named The Merle Kaufman Scholar, awarded for outstanding achievement in the College of Education. I did additional graduate work at Nova Southeastern University and have attended and/or facilitated dozens of seminars. My areas of study focused on speech and hearing sciences, learning disabilities, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, and human sexuality.

The main reason why I became a therapist and life coach was because as a school teacher I came in contact with a lot of children and adolescents who had issues that weren't being addressed properly. I made a commitment and took it upon myself to help children and teens so that they could become happy, confident, independent, self-sufficient members of society. I will help you and your family members get through uncertain and difficult times successfully by working with your child on developing better coping skills, communication skills, more positive behaviors, enhanced self-esteem and different ways to overcome life's adversities.

Treatment is different with each person. At the heart of my therapeutic approach is careful, thoughtful and non-judgmental listening. It is important that you feel understood and comfortable that we can work together collaboratively. Beginning therapy, people hope to find relief, feel ambivalent, are unsure about their wants and fear the unknown. I view psychotherapy as a two-person process. We will focus on understanding your feelings, struggles and the roots of repetitive life patterns and relationships. This approach will help you to develop individualized ways of decreasing suffering, promoting insight, improving self-esteem and regaining self-control.

I am a resident of Palm Beach County where I live with my wife and two children. In my spare time you can find me at the beach, spending time with family or enjoying soccer. I am originally from Lima-Peru and moved to Connecticut as a teenager to reunite with my father and siblings. I attended college in Connecticut and graduated with a duo major in Psychology and Philosophy from Sacred Heart University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in 2010. I have extensive work experience in different hospitals, community agencies, youth, adolescent and family recovery and treatment centers.
