I am open and curious to work with a wide variety of clients and situations. I work hard to collaborate with every person that comes to me for support. My desire is to creatively and competently explore the issues that create unbalance and difficulty in your life, and help you develop the awareness and skills to address and honor these areas of conflict and tension.

A practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. With sensitivity and compassion, I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues.I blend conventional and alternatives approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals. I provide a safe environment, in which people can express themself openly.

I offer individual therapy to adults experiencing mental health challenges, including living with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, addiction struggles, self-esteem, and family/relationship conflict. I also have experience working with military veterans.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with a special focus on Intimate Partner Relationships and Trauma Treatment and Care. I see families and individuals with a wide range of concerns and struggles. You will find me to be warm, personable, and caring. With regard to Intimate Partner Relationships, I look for strengths and resources that are already present while also exploring and mapping out pathways to further increase trust, commitment and relational intimacy. While doing all this, I still attend to relational wounds and breaks in trust.

If you are struggling with any emotional, social, family or personal challenges, I am the clinician for you. My clients love my authentic, caring, and friendly approach to therapy. I am optimistic about treating people who struggle with depression, anxiety, burnout, compassion fatigue, and codependency. I have a long background in treating clients with co-occurring/ dual issues and specialize in treating those impacted by trauma and/or addiction.

I use a systemic approach to therapy, meaning I see you as a larger network of relationships and I look at how those relationships impact you. This enables us to holistically work at the issues that brought you to therapy.

I’m interested in how trauma and life transitions impact how you feel about yourself and your relationship with the world. I will work with you on trauma, self-harm, identity and self-esteem, attachment struggles, individual, family, and group relationship dynamics, domestic violence, and relational boundaries – and how these factors and mental health symptoms play out in patterns in people’s lives. Note that I offer therapy to individuals and not group or family therapy sessions.

I am a Licensed Psychologist with over 34 years in the mental health field. I have been in private practice for 29 years. I have worked with clients of all ages and socioeconomic groups. I provide Individual, Couples/Marital and Family Therapy.

I am a fully licensed Marriage & Family Therapist providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families. It is my life's passion to see marriages and families thrive and survive the obstacles that come their way such as: relationship difficulties (i.e. marital conflicts, parenting, in-laws), stress, and anxiety. I offer classes and marriage retreats on various topics like communication, sex, and forgiveness as well as premarital counseling.

Life presents each of us with a unique journey. As a counselor I join with you to support growth, work through difficulties and create successful outcomes. I take a systemic approach in my counseling and journey with individuals, couples, and families. Systemic therapy addresses people both at the individual level, as well as taking into account broader relationships, patterns, and generational context.

With over 30 years of clinical practice, extensive continuing education, and an emphasis on what works rather than on what’s wrong, I tailor my approach to the specific needs of each individual, couple, family, and group for whom I provide service. Using proven methods, I am able to offer, among others, supportive, interactional, brief problem-solving, cognitive-behavioral, including trauma focused cognitive-behavioral, and relational psychotherapies. Common themes among my clients are concerns related to relationship difficulties, bereavement, mood disorders including depression, anxiety, childhood behavioral problems, eating disorders, compulsive and additive behaviors, and difficulties related to specific life circumstances.

I enjoy working with men, women, and families experiencing mental health issues, substance use, life transitions, or trauma. I also enjoy working with prepartum and postpartum women as they begin motherhood.

Debra Thompson-Knepper has over 20 years experience working with people who have mental illness and addictions. She believes that it is the therapist's responsibility to have as many therapeutic tools as possible to share with clients to help them achieve their goals. Whether it's development of insight to know the self better and live more successfully or targeted therapy to address a specific marital or individual issue, Debbie shares all her knowledge and tools for your success. Good therapy is built on the client's relationship with the therapist and this is the foundation of all growth.

I enjoy providing therapy for children, adolescents, adults and families. I take a collaborative approach while working with my clients and their environment. I received my Master’s degree from Widener University in Social Work and my undergraduate degree from Elizabethtown College in Social Work.

I enjoy connecting with individuals of all ages with a special interest in the needs of women and children. It is a joy to use reparative work to assist people to use their voice with confidence, form satisfying relationships, and influence others in powerful and positive ways. My experience has included working with women who have experienced sex trafficking and exploitation, who have shown me first-hand the realities of resilience and restoration in the face of complex, layered trauma.
