I am a licensed professional counselor associate and a licensed chemical dependency counselor under the supervision of Jeremy Berry, PhD, LPC-S, NCC, CCC. I got my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Edward’s University. My primary therapeutic approach is existentialism through a person-centered lens. Also, to meet the needs of my clients, I will pull from other modalities such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), somatic experiencing, narrative therapy, attachment theory, and Eidetic imagery.

As a professional counselor my private practice focus is on relationships and sexual issues, but I also see other populations. I recognize that therapy is not one size fits all. I have been working with adolescents and parents in the school system for over 19 years as a school counselor, and have held my LPC license for over 14 years. I am an LPC supervisor. I enjoy working with adolescents, helping them to work through their issues, ranging from underachieving to relationship conflict (and everything in between). I also enjoy working with adults, helping them to understand their roles as parents so that they are better able to help support their children in a positive, healthy manner. In addition to parenting, I also provide marriage and family counseling.
