I am a Licensed Professional Counselor having provided mental health services for the past 10 years as a dedicated therapist offering individual, group and family counseling to address issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, personality disorder, substance abuse, marriage/family, and many other cognitive and behavioral difficulties.
I use cognitive/dialectical behavioral therapies, motivational interviewing, and a client-centered approached. I am also trained in EMDR, a therapy that uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help individuals recover from traumatic experience.
I worked in community mental health supporting individuals with chronic mental health concerns. I also have experience counseling Veterans and emergency response professionals to help them overcome service and work-related trauma. My approach helps persons capitalize on their strengths promoting their ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships.
